Do you have to pay special attention to anything when washing since they are natural materials?

No, wash it like your other workout clothes. Here are a few general tips to ensure maximum longevity.

Wash:
Wash Lyocell clothing at 30°C to a maximum of 40°C on a gentle cycle.

Use a mild detergent, preferably without bleach or enzymes.

Avoid fabric softener as it can damage the fibers.

Sling:
Spin at a low speed (maximum 800 rpm) to protect the fibers.

Alternatively, the clothes can be easily squeezed out by hand.

Dry:
Allow lyocell garments to air dry. Hang them on a hanger to avoid wrinkles.

Do not use a tumble dryer as the heat may shrink or damage the fibers.

Iron:
Iron Lyocell at low temperature (maximum 110°C) if necessary.

Use a damp cloth or the steam function to smooth out wrinkles more easily.

What is the advantage of your sportswear?

Lyocell is not only an environmentally friendly alternative to polyester, but also protects your body from unnecessary contact with synthetic fibers and microplastics.

Lyocell and organic cotton are made from natural raw materials and are therefore biodegradable, while polyester is made from petroleum-based plastics.

Our activewear is more breathable and moisture-regulating, making it more comfortable on the skin and less odor-prone. A definite plus, especially for sensitive skin.

Lyocell is also softer and more supple than polyester, which makes it very comfortable to wear.

Unlike polyester, which releases microplastics when washed, lyocell and organic cotton are better for the environment and, most importantly, for YOU!

What is the difference between "regular" and organic cotton?

Regular cotton is often grown with intensive use of chemicals and pesticides, which can have negative impacts on the environment and the health of workers. Organic cotton, on the other hand, is produced without the use of synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or genetic engineering, making it more environmentally friendly.

In addition, organic cotton is grown using socially acceptable and sustainable farming methods that promote biodiversity and reduce water consumption.

Why is your activewear better than that of ordinary global players?

Breathability:
Lyocell is breathable and moisture-regulating, which makes the skin feel more comfortable.

Skin friendliness:
Lyocell is hypoallergenic and particularly gentle on the skin, making it ideal for sensitive skin types, unlike polyester, which can cause skin irritation.

Temperature regulation:
Lyocell adapts better to body temperature and offers a cooler feel, while polyester retains heat and is less breathable.

Odor neutrality:
Lyocell absorbs moisture better, which reduces odors.

Moisture absorption:
Lyocell can absorb up to 50% more moisture than polyester without feeling wet.

Wearing comfort:
Lyocell has a natural, silky soft surface and offers more comfort than polyester.

Sustainability:
Lyocell is made from renewable wood fibers and is biodegradable, while polyester is petroleum-based.

Environmental friendliness:
Lyocell production requires less water and energy, and no microplastic particles are produced like polyester.

I like to wear merino wool as a sustainable alternative. What's the difference between it and lyocell?

Merino wool is a natural animal fiber that comes from Merino sheep, while Lyocell is made from wood fibers such as eucalyptus or beech.

Merino wool provides excellent insulation, keeps you warm even when wet, and is naturally odor-resistant, while lyocell is particularly breathable and moisture-regulating, providing a cooler feeling on the skin.

Both materials are sustainable, but the production of Lyocell is often more resource-efficient than animal husbandry for Merino wool.

Sustainable clothing is usually considerably more expensive than "normal" non-sustainable clothing. Why not at Athleez?

When we started to look into the topic of sustainable sportswear, our path naturally led us to the common countries within Europe.

However, when we went into more detail, we quickly discovered that many producers within Europe source their raw materials from Asia.

That's why we focused on the beginning of these supply chains and established our production "at the source." There, too (e.g., India), it's possible to produce fairly and environmentally friendly. You just need the right partners. We've found them.

Will the Mini.Clip.Band closure come loose if you make a wrong movement during an exercise?

No. The closure is secured under tension and can only be opened without applying any force. Then it's child's play and can be opened with one hand.
